Notoriously one of the hardest categories to buy for – the boyfriends and husbands who never know what they want, who tell you they don’t want anything and give you no ideas of what they could possibly want under the tree on Christmas morning. I’ve got you covered.

The newest EA Sports Football game! If they haven’t already bought this on release day they could be waiting in anticipation for Christmas day. After living with FIFA players at uni this will definitely keep them occupied for hours on end – you may want to move to a different room if the shouting at the screen begins!
Smokehouse Gift Set – One for the cooking lovers
For those who love to chef it up in the Kitchen! Not for those with a low tolerance for heat but a definite crowd pleaser for those who appreciate a bit of a kick. A good way to get the one you love to cook up a storm for you whilst you kick up your feet over the holidays.
LEGO Sets – The way to every man’s heart!
Now I may be slightly biased here – because I also love a good lego set! However, this is a go to gift for any holiday and will keep them entertained for hours! I’m including a few of my personal favourites because it was far too difficult just to select one for this guide. The Lego sets I’ve selected range in price as to suit every budget! This is a real winner in my eyes.
This Return of the Jedi 40th Anniversary edition set is slightly on the pricey side but for a Star Wars fan this is the perfect Christmas gift! At 46cm high you’ll need him to clear his desk for space but it’s worth it for the excitement when building this 2,319 piece set.
Another crowd-pleaser and my personal favourite set! The R2-D2 Lego Set with Luke Skywalker’s lightsaber hidden within the model. You can’t beat a classic and this is the perfect addition for a collector and lover of Star Wars! It comes with a 50th Anniversary Lucasfilm Lego brick if you weren’t already sold and has 2,314 pieces.
Not a Star Wars lover? How about a Lego set from the best phase of the MCU? This Lego Iron Man Infinity Gaunlet is a great option! Slightly cheaper than the other 2 Lego options and is often on sale. This set has 680 pieces and will definitely provide entertainment for more than a few hours!
This is one of the most gifted Lego sets sold! Loved by all and is an absolute classic! The Great Wave is an iconic piece of artwork originally by Hokusai and is yours to recreate and build in a 1,810 piece Lego set! This is a favourite by many due to the ability to hang on the wall after your build and it looks amazing. I wouldn’t even specifically categorise this into just a gift for him and it will most likely feature in another one of my guides in the future!
Okay, so hear me out on this one, I know its expensive! However, if the one you’re buying for is a Lord of the Rings fan this is the set of his DREAMS! If someone bought this for me I think it would bring me to tears (of joy – just to clarify!). This 6,167 piece set is a thing of absolute BEAUTY and one of the top 10 biggest Lego sets to date! The attention to detail in this set with 15 minifigures, the One Ring hidden within the house of Elrond, an elven forge, Frodo’s study and so many more hidden features! If you want to give him the ULTIMATE Christmas gift and be the winner of the best present – this is the one to rule them all!
I’ll finish off my Lego section with a set suitable for all budgets before I get far too carried away (I’ll make a Lego specific guide at some point!). For the car and 007 lovers we have the LEGO Speed Champions Aston Martin DB5 James Bond Replica Edition. I’ve bought my Dad a few over the Speed Champions sets over the years for Birthdays or Christmas and they always go down a treat! You’re never too old to build Lego sets and that is something I will always stand by!

For those who think they’re the next Gordon Ramsay, a set of sharp kitchen knives could be the way to their heart! Funky Socks – Behind every man should be a pair of lairy socks!
Strictly boyfriend approved, No matter what your day is looking like you put on socks right? Why not stand out from the crowd? I give you funky socks. A strange one I know! But I have a pair of these myself and I absolutely LOVE them. Loop Quiet earplugs are completely noise cancelling and block out any unwanted noise. I roped in my solo traveller friends for this one (@cptravel on tiktok)- so you know its good! The 40L Osprey backpack is the perfect size for travelling and an amazing gift for a loved one who is heading off to travel the world! Finding the perfect luggage to take with you which won’t break and is compact enough to carry on your back whilst moving between hostels and cities can be a challenge. This backpack has been tried and tested which is why I’m including it on my guide!
Protein Shaker – The essential gym accessory
An affordable essential and a great gift for the gym rat in your life! This Promixx Protein Shaker bottle is an upgrade on your standard cheap protein shaker which can be a pain to clean and leak half the time (talking from experience). These come in both 700ml and 900ml size options and a variety of colours. I’ve selected this shaker in particular as it is both dishwasher safe and leak-proof! An added bonus is that it doesn’t come with the annoying metal ball that is featured in a large number of cheap shakers – which my boyfriend enjoys getting stuck in different parts of the dishwasher.
